This event features a screening of the documentary “Change, Not Charity,” which tells the powerful story of the disability rights movement that led to the passage of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Told through firsthand accounts, the film highlights the activists who organized, protested, and pushed a nation toward equality and access.
Following the screening, a live panel of today’s disability rights leaders will discuss their ongoing work to protect Medicaid, promote inclusive education, and ensure accessible public transportation.
