As July arrives, we recognize Disability Pride Month – a time to honor the history, experiences, and contributions of people with disabilities. First observed in 1990, the same year the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) was signed into law, this month holds deep significance for the disability community and its ongoing movement for equity and inclusion.

Disability Pride Month is both a celebration and a call to awareness. It invites us to recognize the strength and diversity within the disability community, while also reflecting on the work still needed to ensure full access, representation, and justice.

We invite you to join us this month – through learning, participating in local events, and standing in solidarity with Disability Pride.
