In the next few weeks leading up to a June 30 deadline, the Pennsylvania General Assembly will vote on Governor Shapiro’s proposed budget, which includes increased funding to reduce long waiting lists for services supporting people with intellectual disabilities and autism.
Achieva, one of the key affiliates of the Western Pennsylvania Disability History and Action Consortium, provides information about the proposed budget on its online Advocacy Action Center (see the second item on the page “Proposed Budget Increase for Intellectual Disability and Autism (ID/A) Services System”) as well as an online form for contacting elected officials via email.
