Museum of Disability History in Buffalo, NY

Yesterday, the Western Pennsylvania Disability History and Action Consortium was treated to an all-access tour of The Museum of Disability History in Buffalo, NY. Curator Doug Platt shared his expertise on disability history and insights specific to our Western Pennsylvania narrative. Photos here depict museum images including, but not limited to: institutions, uniforms, archival items, sports, comic books as well as a featured exhibit on Down syndrome. We encourage you to look at the museum and its holdings online, or to visit the museum for yourself. We are grateful for the support and help of the museum staff in our efforts to tell the Western Pennsylvania story.
