Save the Date: Giving Tuesday is December 3!

11/21/2024

Join the Movement of Generosity

Giving Tuesday logo, a heart inside of a globe

This GivingTuesday, join millions around the world in a day dedicated to making a difference. Since its inception in 2012, GivingTuesday has inspired people from every corner of the globe to come together and support causes close to their hearts.

For the Western Pennsylvania Disability History and Action Consortium, this means continuing our vital work to document and share the often-overlooked history of people with disabilities in our region, while advocating for inclusion, equality, and justice.

Your support enables us to preserve and promote the stories, achievements, and challenges of people with disabilities in Western Pennsylvania with initatives such as our Intersection of Race & Disability Project— a project that documents and shares the stories of people with disabilities who are people of color. These stories have often been overlooked, not only in the narrative of disability history but also in the contemporary disability rights movement.

Through storytelling, research, and advocacy, we’re uncovering histories and amplifying voices that help inform a more inclusive future for all.

How You Can Help on GivingTuesday

On Tuesday, December 3, you can make an impact by visiting our website again and clicking the “Donate” button in the upper left corner of our homepage.

Your donation, no matter the size, helps us to continue sharing powerful stories, building awareness, and promoting equity for all people with disabilities.

We invite you to join us on GivingTuesday in advancing understanding, celebrating diversity, and creating a world that truly values everyone. Let’s make history together!
